Entering a LAMINA1 Space

The first interaction most LAMINA1 Hub users will have with LAMINA1 Spaces is entering one. Right now, there are two Spaces live on the LAMINA1 Hub – the first, a demo experience called Space Lasers intended to test and showcase our early item distribution, template, and integration framework; the second, an Early Alpha test of Nyric, a generative-AI Space designed to pressure-test how onboarding and authentication will work with externally-developed applications on the LAMINA1 Hub.

To enter either Space, go to your LAMINA1 Hub Home tab and scroll down to your ‘Discover the Open Metaverse’ carousel. In the near-term, all playable/explorable Spaces here will be marked with a green play button.\ \ To open up more information about the experience before entering, click on the thumbnail image or description. This will take you to a ‘Space Description Page’ that includes a teaser image, a short description of the Space you are about to enter, any technical requirements and installation instructions you’ll need to enter the Space and a link to create an item for that Space (if applicable). In the case of Space Lasers, this page may also include external Applications (e.g. the Space Lasers leaderboard) developers have linked up to the game.

In the future, this landing page will be expanded to include additional information about the experience, such as creator credits, discoverability tags, content warnings, user ratings, co-creation opportunities, etc. as development continues and more Spaces appear on the LAMINA1 Hub. It will also show you featured Templates you can use to create and publish content that can be used in that Space, as well as other Spaces that are interoperable with the experience you are about to launch.\ \ Currently, only Space Lasers and NYRIC are available to enter on the LAMINA1 Hub. However, we are working on a number of exciting Spaces across gaming, entertainment, fashion, music, and beyond with core team members and L1 Early Access Program partners that will be launching on the LAMINA1 Hub over the next few months.
