What's Next For Spaces & Experiences on Lamina1?
Lamina1 Spaces will get a major refresh on the Lamina1 Hub in the lead-up to our first featured Spaces launching on Mainnet in the future.
We see Spaces not just as landing pages for games and applications, but as virtual collaborative environments that can encapsulate both an IP universe canon and any community co-created additions accepted as canon expansion.
Spaces could incorporate:
- Governance models including roles, access permissions, and content policy, rights, and royalties administration
- Contribution management tooling like Templates, GenAI tools, and content acceptance evaluation
- Workflows orchestrating canon ingestion, evaluation processing, cataloging, elevation
- Distribution controls publishing to relevant applications and showcases
The Lamina1 core team will build and integrate some of these tools directly onto the Hub. Other tools will be integrated into the Hub via external programs and partnerships.
We hope each of these features will enable the proliferation of interactive “storyworld” Spaces across Lamina1, providing a place for fans and creators to gather, interact, and co-create in real-time, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. These features can exist alongside playable applications/experiences that users can sign into via their Lamina1 Hub account, or independently, as offshoot, preview, or next-gen platforms based on models of collaborative ownership and participation.
